There is limited free car parking for residents and this is a great choice from which to explore the very best that York has to offer. Dairy Guest House was originally a family home and joinery business, built in 1890. It then became a dairy for many years, until being turned into a guest house in 1978.

Built in 1699, Middlethorpe Hall is an original William III country house. It has been fully restored and is now carefully decorated with antiques and fine pictures. The gardens and parkland have also been restored and include a white garden, a walled garden, a small lake and some beautiful trees.

Now part of the National Trust, all profits of the hotel are donated to the charity.
